Privacy policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Brinava LLC operates this store and website. This policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit brinava.com, use our services, make a purchase or otherwise communicate with us.
Where our Terms of Service and this policy conflict, this policy governs on anything relating to personal information.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Section 6 covers the nuance under state law.

2. What we collect
Contact details — name, billing address, shipping address, phone number and email address.
Order information — billing and shipping addresses, payment confirmation, and details of the products you purchase.
Payment information — card details are entered into our payment processor's secure form and never reach our servers. We receive a payment confirmation, the last four digits, the card type and the transaction details.
Account information — username, encrypted password, preferences and settings.
Shopping information — products you view, add to your cart or wishlist, purchase, return or exchange, and your order history.
Customer support information — whatever you choose to include when you contact us, plus your email address.
Device and usage information — IP address, browser type and settings, device characteristics, network connection, pages and products viewed, and how you navigate the site.
Some features require certain information. You can choose not to provide it, though that may prevent you from using parts of the service.
3. Where it comes from
- Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order or contact us
- Automatically — through cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar technologies
- From service providers — our e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment providers, analytics and advertising partners, and customer support tools
4. How we use it
| Purpose | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Fulfilling your order | Payment, shipping, delivery updates, returns and exchanges |
| Account management | Creating and maintaining your account, remembering preferences |
| Customer support | Answering questions, resolving problems |
| Fraud prevention | Authenticating accounts, detecting suspicious activity, securing the site |
| Site improvement | Understanding how the site is used and improving it |
| Marketing | Email, text and advertising, where you've opted in or the law permits |
| Legal compliance | Responding to lawful requests, enforcing our terms, defending claims |
If you have an account, keeping your login details secure is your responsibility. Don't share your username or password with anyone.
5. Who we disclose to
- Our e-commerce platform — hosting, store operation and platform security
- Payment processors — payment and fraud screening
- Shipping and fulfillment providers — delivering your order
- IT, analytics and cloud service providers
- Customer support tools
- Advertising and marketing partners — using information under their own privacy notices
- Professional advisers, regulators and authorities — where the law requires it
Legal disclosure. We disclose where required by law, subpoena, search warrant or a valid request from an authority, and where necessary to enforce our terms or protect our rights and those of others.
Business transfers. If the business is sold, merged, restructured or enters bankruptcy, customer records may transfer as part of that.
When you ask us to — for example, to ship a product or when you use a social media widget.
Categories disclosed in the past 12 months: identifiers (contact details), customer records (name, address, payment confirmation), commercial information (order and support history), internet activity (browsing data), and approximate geolocation derived from IP address — each to the recipient types above.
We don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
6. Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
We don't exchange personal information for direct monetary payment.
However, when advertising and analytics technologies run, information about your browsing reaches advertising partners. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and other state privacy laws, that counts as targeted advertising and, in some states, as "sharing" or a "sale" — regardless of whether payment changes hands.
To opt out:
- Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer
- Adjust your cookie or privacy preferences on this site
- Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser — we honor GPC signals for that browser and device
- Email us at support@brinava.com
You can also opt out industry-wide at optout.aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.
Other than Global Privacy Control, we don't act on Do Not Track signals, as there's no agreed standard.
We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
7. Cookies and tracking
| Type | What it does | Optional? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Cart, checkout, login, security | No — the site won't work without these |
| Functional | Remembers your settings and preferences | Yes |
| Analytics | Traffic and performance measurement | Yes |
| Advertising | Ad targeting, measurement and retargeting | Yes |
You can manage cookies through your browser settings or our privacy controls. Disabling essential cookies will break checkout. Blocking cookies alone may not stop all data sharing with advertising partners — see section 6 for the routes that do.
8. Our platform provider
Our store is hosted on a third-party e-commerce platform, which collects and processes information about your use of the site in order to provide and secure it.
Certain enhanced platform features also use data from your interactions with our store alongside data from other merchants. For those specific features the platform provider acts as controller in its own right, and requests relating to that processing are handled by them under their own privacy notice.
Everything else described in this policy is handled by us.
9. Information leaving the United States
We may transfer, store and process personal information outside the United States, including through service providers located in other countries.
Where we do, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and require appropriate contractual protections.
10. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | 7 years — tax and accounting |
| Account information | Until you delete your account |
| Marketing contacts | Until you unsubscribe |
| Customer support correspondence | 2 years after the matter closes |
| Site analytics | 26 months |
| Fraud prevention records | 3 years |
Where a dispute or legal claim is live, the relevant records stay as long as needed. Otherwise they're deleted or stripped of anything identifying.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:
Know / access — what we hold about you, and how we've used and shared it
Delete — request deletion, except records we're legally required to keep
Correct — fix anything inaccurate or incomplete
Portability — receive a copy in a usable format
Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising — see section 6
Limit use of sensitive information — where that right applies
Appeal — if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision
Non-discrimination — we won't charge you different prices or refuse service for exercising these rights
These rights aren't absolute, apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request as permitted by law.
To make a request: email support@brinava.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We'll verify your identity — usually by confirming details of a recent order — and respond within 45 days. If a request is complex enough to need longer, we'll say so.
You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf. We'll require proof of that authority and may still need to verify your identity directly.
There's no charge for a privacy request.
12. Marketing communications
We may send promotional emails and text messages where you've opted in.
Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by replying STOP to a text. If you opt out, we'll still send messages about your account or orders — we need those to complete your purchase.
13. Security
We use SSL/TLS encryption across the site, restrict internal access to staff who need it, and use a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor so card numbers never reach our systems.
No security measure is perfect, and information sent to us may not be secure in transit. Please don't use insecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential information.
If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we'll notify you as required by Florida law and other applicable state law.
14. Children
Our site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
If you're a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
15. Third-party websites
Our site may link to websites and platforms operated by others. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
Information you share on public or semi-public platforms may be visible to others. Review the relevant policies before providing anything.
16. Complaints
Contact us first — most things get resolved directly.
If our response doesn't satisfy you, you may appeal by replying to it. If the appeal is also declined, you may lodge a complaint with the Florida Attorney General (myfloridalegal.com) or your own state attorney general.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. The current version is always on this page with the date at the top, and we'll provide notice as required.
